A calendar that’s both beautiful & useful
What started as a simple idea has grown into a popular and highly useful tradition! We were brainstorming ways to showcase the creativity of our student artists, raise funds and create items folks would value. Who knew the annual NAF school calendar would achieve all three!
Why a calendar?
To reinforce our pride in Nisky artwork across all grades and mediums, a Best of Art Show gets installed in the NHS Art Gallery each May. By photographing this collection to feature in the calendar, we’ve expanded the reach of our student’s artwork across more of our community with something both attractive and practical.
How we made the calendar most useful?
To turn this into the most valuable resource we could, we included four key types of dates —
Federally observed holidays — such as, Thanksgiving and Memorial Day
School district closures — such as, Superintendent Days and Good Friday
NSCD dates to remember — such as, Art Shows and Annual Art Scholarship Awards
NAF annual events — such as, our Trivia Night Fundraiser and Art Supply Free-for-All
When is the best time to get a NAF School Calendar?
At the beginning of each school year, we offer a new calendar as a thank you for becoming or renewing your NAF membership for the upcoming year. But don’t delay, we have limited supplies so be sure to sign up early and you can pick up your new calendar at the NAF table at your school’s Back to School Night!
